New York Jets Man Cave Makes Sundays Better

To call the New York Jets fanbase a longsuffering one is an understatement. The team’s lone Super Bowl victory came in 1968, but since then, playoff wins have been tough to secure. So why would someone raised in California and living in Texas root for a team whose most memorable moment in the past 10 years is dubbed the “butt fumble?”

Little Elm, Texas, resident Chad Stone decked out his man cave to honor his favorite professional football franchise. “I am originally from California. I traveled to Cooperstown, New York, with my baseball team when I was 12 to play in a tournament,” Stone said. “I fell in love with the history of the Yankees and New York in general and decided to make the Jets my football team. Fast forward to today, I watch way more football than baseball and have stuck with the team no matter what. Never looked back, Jets for life!”

So Sunday afternoons in the fall are dedicated to watching the Jets play. For Chad Stone’s sake let’s hope the Jets make the most of their widely acclaimed selections in the 2022 NFL Draft. If not, there may be some long Sundays for Jets fans. Refreshments from the beverage cooler make the games a little easier to watch.

“The cooler houses a plentiful amount of beer and seltzers,” he said. “The older I get the more I lean towards easy drinking. So lots of pilsners, lagers, and light ales that are always rotating. The seltzers are usually a mix of Truly, White Claw, or whatever the local breweries have been canning.”

In addition to the Jets decor, Stone honors his favorite local breweries. TUPPS Brewery and Hop & Sting Brewing Co. have earned spots on the wall.

However, this New York Jets man cave isn’t just for watching football and drinking. There’s some serious gaming going on. For a little old school gaming action, look no further than the Legends Ultimate arcade console.

“Long story short, I always wanted an arcade machine and this one was common for having the ability to play a library of games right off of a flash drive,” Stone said. “I literally have over 6,000 arcade games all loaded on to a flash drive smaller than your thumb nail. The only caveat is that it only plays two-dimensional games. My favorite game to play is Golden Tee.”

Stone has modern gaming locked down, too. He built his own gaming computer and has a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Nintendo Switch.

Stone has great advice for any guy building his own man cave: “Take your time! My man cave was years in the making. Make it special and unique to what you like. Make it a place you enjoy alone as well as with company. Let it be your creative space!”
